Default Ideas for Kaffe Fassett fabric needed

    Hi everyone,
I love his fabrics but I never know what to do with them!
I have some fat quarters and jelly rolls and absolutely no ideas!
What have you made with this line?

I won a pack of Kaffe Fassett FQs at my LQS. Let me just say that they were well outside my comfort zone for colors and patterns! But I was determined to find a way to use them, and to use them boldly! I finally decided on a pattern from an old magazine, called "Summer Soiree" (I'm sorry I can't find a link any more, but I've attached a pic of the pattern). Since my colors were more "fall", and definitely bold, I am anchoring it with black sashing and calling my version "Fall Riot." I'll post a pic when it's finished, but I'm actually really enjoying stepping out way beyond what I would ordinarily do with quilt colors.

Also, if you go to the Free Spirit website, they have lots of free patterns that might inspire you. Projects - Page 1 - FreeSpirit Fabrics

I think the Kaffe Fassett prints are just beautiful. I used mine in a MSQC pattern called Totally Tulips. As you can see from the other examples, it really makes lovely patchwork.

I feel the same way. Love his fabrics but they don't "fit" any rooms in my house. I friend gifted me some Kaffe yardage. I made some really nice bags with it! Now when Im in a shop I look for his fabrics with bags in mind!

Eparys, I love your eggplant background! Back when we could have Sit and Sew days,, a friend in my guild was making Dresden plates with Kaffe fabrics on a black background. They just popped and it was gorgeous. I plan on doing that with my Kaffe stash.

I made the "All Stacked Up" quilt with my Kaffe fabric. I love it. The pattern is free and it's pretty simple really even though it looks complicated. Goes together fast. Need to be thoughtful where pieces go but not hard.

If you like applique, look up Kim McLean's patterns. I just recently made two twin bedspreads, the Flower Garden out of fat quarters. She used Kaffe fabrics.

I plan on making Spring Fling with some fabric I have. Mine aren't spring colors but I think the pattern is so cute.
