Ideas for Round Robins 2009
#12
I vote for a Row Robin, Christmas theme...but I can't chair. I'm too ill right now to take that responsibility, as I don't know when/if I will be hospitalized, etc.
I like the Row thought because it just seems simpler...the original owner can add the borders to showcase the prints, colors, and make the quilt whatever size (s)he wants. Say 72" long by 12" (12 1/2" unfinished) and to 6 people (including the original). That will make the quilt 72 x 72.
Yes???

I can chair. How about...
Christmas Row Robin
International opt.
Sign up now through Jan.
First row due out at the end of Jan.
One Row per month
6 people per group, all the tops should be done at the end of July with plenty of time left to quilt them up before next Christmas?
If others like it, I'll start a thread for it.

I'm in...
How about listing theme...
for example
kids-red/green
pets-blue/white
assorted
elegant-red/green
snowflake-blue/white/silver
or is this getting too complicated and everyone goes for assorted?
I'm just trying to figure out how to buy the fabric in the least expensive way...

How about we all declare our theme-desires (keeping with Christmas) by the sign up date - how about December 24, 2008?
I'll have a list of who and what is going on with your other group members out by the 26th of December, so everyone can shop as soon as they want?
And don't forget there is nothing wrong with fabrics that aren't Christmas, being used in a Christmas quilt.

I moved the Row Christmas Robin to it's own post, switching it from an idea to a plan. You can see it here http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/13162.page It's really what we talked about already. Anyone interested PM me.

I would very much like to do a row robin, clever title zyxquilts!, but am not interested in doing Christmas themes. Would anyone else like to do a row robin mini quilt with me?
Ideas:
Cool colors (purple, green, teal, bluee, etc)
Triangle, use of triangles in country colors
