I found a coaster pattern that uses 4 inch squares of batting. Here is the link: http://www.33shadesofgreen.com/2010/...-coasters.html

Not sure if you are into this but it is a use for batting scraps! Happy quilting!

I only save larger pieces to add to other pieces when it needs to be longer or wider. Small scraps I toss.
I use my 'free time' to make quilts to donate. I work full time, have a Husband, 2 small dogs, 2 cats and a bird. Do laundry and clean house.
I get boggled trying to use my scraps. Trying to use all my batting would really boggle me.

They're perfect for rail fence type rag quilts.

Use for pot holders and small wallhanging.

I have no problem giving my small scraps to a lady who uses them for dog beds, stuffing of cubie chairs, etc. I know I won't use them and it keeps me from throwing them in the trash.

More power to those of you who take the time to make sure all scraps get used, but i just don't do that.
Same here. I save the bigger ones and zig zag together for baby quilts and such but the smaller ones are trashed. They stack up too fast and I never seem to use them so out they go.

This is what I do with mine too.

I use them on my swifter sweeper and then throw away when done. They are great for grabbing dust off the floor.
