Help . My largest is 36x24. Have two more smaller ones . Should I lay them flat in the bottom of a box? It's the best way I can think of . Moving by truck and plane.

I put mine in with large pictures.

Hmm, may be less hassle to buy new once you get moved. I moved my mats flat but only an hour away by vehicle.

That's a great idea for a long move.

Can you get some thin plywood - or do you have some that's "big enough" - for them to lay flat?

The mats seem to be able to "mold" themselves to whatever shape they are stored in - especially when exposed to heat.

wow, i moved mine flat in the trunk of my car. 1,000 miles. they at least must be flat. not on their side. good luck.

You might try rolling the large one that is how my big table mats have been shipped. Then when you unpack lay flat with the curve up and put some books on top it will flatten out nicely.

Put them in a packing box with mirrors, etc. or if you are covering mattresses with plastic or a box, put them in there.

Years ago Moms family moved often. I remember them telling about packing their one and only mirror between mattresses for the move.

You do have to keep them flat. I moved mine 2 times from NY to NC. Payed flat in the trunk
