A pattern was in the June/July 2008 issue of Quilt Magazine(pic of cover below) It came with a printed template but I think yours would work.

That's a very pretty quilt! hanks for the reference Dragonfly Nana.
I was thinking that the template that Cindy showed could also be used as applique on a plain block.
