Susiequilts: If you just winged it, you did a great job. I'm one of those people that must follow the pattern exactly for fear I'll do a royal screw-up & ruin the whole item.
Sorry about the missing name as I'm new to this forumn & don't know all the correct steps to take yet.

Thanks Barb, that is where I saw this quilt and fell in love with it. I haven't looked at all the shows on there yet because some of them have almost put me to sleep when I tried to sit through them. But not the case with the Basketweave Baby quilt. I do enjoy the QUILT OUT LOUD segments because Mark is noisy enough to keep me awake :>)

Hi Ninnie. I'm enjoying myself reading all the neat suggestions plus seeing the quilts everyone have finished.

Hi right back at you from Oregon.
If you're interested in a good deal, I found one from Connecting Threads in my Sept/Oct 2009 issue of Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting mag. where you can get $5.96 off your fabric order if you type US596 in the promo code box at checkout. It's for online orders only and limit 1 per person. This is good through 10/31/09.

I can't believe I posted about only needing half the binding sewn down to be finished and here it is more than 2 years later and I still haven't done this!
I'll move that to the top of the list of UFO'S.

    Wonder where it is?

How did you efficiently machine quilt around each piece?
