Default Interesting find

Today I cleaned out my featherweight case and in the bin I found an unusual item. At first I thought it was some kind of old bobbin case. Looking more closely I discovered it was a pencil sharpener. DH said it is quite old and looks like it was made from a mini ball possibly dating back to the Civil War. Whether it is or not, I found it interesting.

Very interesting! It looks like it has a hole so you could attach a string to it so you would lose it in combat. Your local military museum might be interested in looking at it.

What a find! Hold onto those babies and be sure to make some kind of label with a picture that Identifies them for the next generation.
