I have a Reliable steam iron. purchased it from Atlanta Thread Company. It is very heavy which I like.
I collect rain water and pour it through a coffee filter
and keep it in the refrig. until I ned a bottle in the sewing room.
so I several bottles on hand.
MY iron is only maybe a year old but so far doesn't
spit.
I love this iron.
