Default Isacord Thread

I'm looking to source bulk thread. Though I've heard of this brand I don't know it. Is it strictly embroidery thread or can it be used on a LA or as a universal sewing thread ? The price seems great.

Sometimes a price is too good. I wouldn't use rayon thread for quilting if that is what it is. JMO

I've used Isacord Polyester 40 wt embroidery thread for quilting on my Sweet Sixteen. I really like it. It behaves well and it has a nice sheen and it's a little finer than some other 40 wt's.

I have also used their 40 wt embroidery thread in my LA with great results. I would still be using Isacord until I discovered Glide.

Isacord is good thread. Like Feline Fanatic, I used it a lot until finding Glide with its prewound bobbins. The prewounds practically eliminate any tension problems with my Tiara.

I used it for embroidery, (machine) and it is great thread. Leah Day uses it for her quilting.

I use it for quilting all the time - and if it's the color I need, will use it for anything else. Don't do much embroidery, but great for that as well.

I've used a lot of Isacord on my longarm and it's great. I just order three 5000m cones of Isacord today on a site, decent price and free shipping.

Jamie Wallen (well-known longarmer) uses Isacord polyester thread for most of his quilting.

Love Isacord! It is strong and has a lovely look. It is made by Ackermann, and sometimes bulk orders will use that name. I have found great prices at www.imachinegroup.com. Isacord is a thread that can take high speeds and high tension as needed for long arms.
