Default ISO this pattern or the name of it!

    Hello everyone,
I have seen this image a few times, but I have not been able to find the pattern or the name of it at least...
    Any help?

Oh what a great scrappy quilt that would be!! And would show those two echo-designs even better in a larger finished quilt than the mini in that Pinterest pic.

Sorry, I can't give you a pattern name or pattern ... but I can tell you how to make it. Just hope that my crude explanation makes sense to you ... others may have a more eloquent explanation!!

Make a boxed square ... then put a plain piece of fabric on top, the same size ... stitch diagonally, and cut to make two-HSTs. You'll now have two matching HSTs. Add sashing and cornerstone to two sides. Blocks are done and then you can play with them on your design wall, to ensure same colours do not touch.

As for measurements, I'd probably draw it up on graph paper for the size you think you want. Then do a trial run to decide if you have the centre square big/small enough for your liking. It's a design that'd work well either in smaller delicate blocks if you like small work. Or if you want larger sized work, would be great too.

Have FUN! ... and look forward to seeing what you make!

"omit" the word "plain" ... obviously, the piece can be printed!

Also, will add ... when putting your sashings on, you would need to rotate which direction your HSTs go to allow for the positioning for this design.. So, it might be better to not put the sashings on until you have placement figured out on the design wall in order to give you more options to be able to switch for the colour/fabric positions.

(Sorry .... obviously should not have been posting at midnight, when I should have been in bed! doubly so!)

Still though, I am impressed with this design!

Missouri Star has a pattern called "sashed double square star" that looks like it.

Without the sashing, the blocks could be arranged as shown here.

Wow, that's awesome! I kept looking at it, and usually I can figure out how to do any given block.... now I'm intrigued to try to make it! Scrappy of course! Thank you so very much for both your posts...

Interestingly, the way QuiltE described is like https://sewpreetiquilts.blogspot.com...uare-star.html, but the Triple Play video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7F7LCX-z7c has the sashed version with four patches for the squares. It sure looks different depending on the colors and orientations of the blocks.

Most of the quilt patterns I see people are in search of has been one of the Missouri Star Video patterns. They have hundreds if not a few thousand by now.
