Putz

This will be my last Christmas project to start and finish before Christmas. I have three quilt tops being quilted as I type, and have tow more cut out and ready to sew, then off to be quilted and the last quilt to finish before Christmas is a BOM quilt which I won't get the last blocks till December, so I will be giving that on Christmas morning unfinished which leaves me with one last quilt for my MIL. The other six are bed size, but for her I'm thinking of making a round/circular quilted table cloth for her table. I have searched the board and also have been looking on the web for ideas, but am coming up pretty much empty handed. Do any of you have any suggestions? I've looked on eHow regarding creating a round quilt, but since I'm relatively new to quilting, just started this year, I need a start to finish pattern.

How about a hexagonal or octagonal shape instead of a circle? You could do a stack and whack.
