I want to make a quilt for friend that retired from the Air Force.
I need some ideas. I'm a newbie so something simple would be nice.
Also, could everyone please show a quilt that you made for family/friends that are in the armed forces.
Thank you.

The pattern is an easy beginner friendly "Yellow Brick Road"

Here's my little wallhanging. It would be very easy to make a quilt out of these squares. It had a sunbonnet Sue on the pattern but I made a little Sailor for my Sailor girl. The pattern is called "American Sue".

OMG... I love your little sailor.
My son just graduated Navy bootcamp and while he was there I started working on a quilt for him. I've just been winging it and thought I needed to see what ideas I could find to add to his quilt... THIS IS PERFECT!!!
