Red face It's Virtual Quilt Weekend

After a long April, Virtual Quilt Weekend is back. Hope to "see" lots of you over the weekend. My husband is having minor surgery today so I'll pop in and out over the weekend. Not sure how much quilting I'll get done myself but I would at least like to find the floor in my sewing room and find some blocks I'm supposed to have done by Monday so I can sew them! I do have some hand quilting I could work on and that I really SHOULD work on. So get comfortable, and get quilting

Oooooh!! Finally! A virtual quilt weekend when I actually have the weekend off!! After a tremendously stressful month, where, besides the craziness of life, I needed to make a wedding quilt for friends' DD, (will share pics of that as soon as the binding is on) I decided to take a wee break for myself, and started a twister pattern. (I really should have gone back to niece's wedding quilt that needs to be done by Sept. but just could not face it)

I would love to finish the twister pattern this weekend (and put the binding on that wedding quilt!)

Raggiemom, will be sending lots of healing thoughts towards your DH. Mine also just had some 'minor' surgery that ended up not-so-minor, but hopefully is on the mend now.

I wish I could join :-( we have a BBQ island being delivered this weekend and then probably friends over for dinner. It's been so busy around here I have not been in my sewing room for more than 20minutes at a time for weeks. other than when DD #1 and I made 360 heart shaped tea bags for a bridal shower.

Everybody have fun I look forward to coming back to see what you all got done.

Jim and I are going to a quilt show tomorrow, but as soon as I come home, there are two projects that I want to get working on. I wish I could show a picture, but the new computer has not been set up for that yet.

Ohhh - I wish I could join in, but I'm planning on visiting my parents this weekend (although there are 2 quilts shops near them ). You all have fun quilting!

I forgot I had traced out the 4th Fatcatpatterns penguin block last night, so got that fused this morning, will save the satin stitching until later as a treat from piecing my 6" Sylvia's .
