I just love the look I get from folks, especially men, when I whip out the ole measuring tape from my purse. I keep one in my desk at work too .... you never know what might inspire you. And let me tell you, the guys have use it more than once! It works so much better than the 15" ruler and finger to mark the next beginning point to move the ruler to!

I am making my dh a wall hanging with some of his Boy Scout patches. He has a t-shirt with the emblem from when he took a troop to the jamboree. I almost took it to make the center of the wall hanging. He grabbed it before I could take it.

I guess I can be committed with you. Whatever I look at anymore I try to picture it in a quilt.

I'm not sure they will allow needles or rotary cutters in the funny farm. Too dangerous. LOL

Thanks for the chuckle tonight. I needed it.

I also love the Native American patterns. That is a must living in Oklahoma :)

Oh my! I am over the edge right there with you! I see quilt patterns everywhere....I have sketched the design from a divider in a Chinese restaurant, the tile on Ruby Tuedays restroom floor, a mosaic design on the wall of a ritzy hotel...
I also see quilt worthy fabric in folks clothing and have just barely caught myself numerous times as I was getting ready to say, "I love your shirt (or skirt or dress)...it would make a great quilt." I did let it out once and the lady looked at me like I was crazy. I guess she didn't realize what a compliment I was paying her. lol
