We just found out that Hubby will have to have Chemotherapy, which means a lot of waiting time for me. I'm thinking it will be a good time to learn hand piecing to keep myself occupied and off the worry pot, so to speak :) - but looking over the multitude of instructional books is a bit daunting.

Who are your favorite authors/instructors for hand piecing?

I have a book in my collection. Let me go find it and tell you the name of the author. I watched a video on her also and is awesome.

Thanks, craftybear - I'm definitely ordering it today! I also remembered seeing a segment of her hand piecing with Alex Anderson, so I went over to The Quilt Show site. I bought the episode for $2.95 (even though I'm not a paid member over there) and that is so worth it to be able to view her actually hand piecing whenever I want

I thumbed through a copy of her new book over at the LQS yesterday - talk about needing a bib for the drool  One of the girls let me know about ordering it on sale from Connecting Threads, so I may just have to get that one too!
