Janome 11000 questions
I found a used Janome 11000 today for 2,000.00. It's at a dealer and the warranty is 60 days. I found the not-so-great reviews on this website http://freemo.com/janome-memory-craft-11000-mc11000/
Can someone tell me if this is a good price and has anyone had the bobbin/bobbin case issues described in the reviews? The machine was serviced regularly and was upgraded by the owner. There is only 1 Janome dealer in the area about 35 miles away. I sure don't want to make a mistake, but this seems like a pretty good deal to me.
I could sure use some feedback before I make a mistake!
Thanks

I searched completed listings on eBay and found this list:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_saca...mplete=1&rt=nc
Only the prices in green indicate an actual sale. Red prices mean they didn't sell. I didn't go through the whole list but did see that one sold for about $1850 while others sold for closer to $3000.
For me, it's not a good sign that so many of these machines are for sale on eBay. The list is quite long.

I have the 11000se and love it. I have had it for 3 years and had only 1 problem. Fortunately I have a great dealer and her husband does the repairs. The screen kept directing me to the wrong sites. He showed me how to reset it so I can do it if necessary. I love the embroidery. Love being able to download from the computer to a flash drive and use it. Good luck. I did read the reviews and have had none of the problems described.

Hi, I've had my Janome 11000 SE for about 7 years, and I love it. No problems, but I do have it cleaned/serviced once a year. I paid $5000 seven years ago, so I think you've found a good deal. I think there are a lot of them for sale because they are now competing with the 12000 and the 15000. I'll stick with mine though, because I love the size of the screen. Good luck.

dealers are still selling them for around $5,999. i don't recall seeing one advertised for any less.
so, $2,000 seems a good price to me. i know i wouldn't part with mine for less than $3,000 - and it's 5 or 6 years old.
i have never had any of the problems described in the reviews.
maybe i'm just lucky. or maybe that's one of those sites that only attracts people who want to complain.
it's always easier to find people who want to gripe about products and services than it is to find those who will take the time to post compliments about them.
take several things with you so you can sit down and spend at least an hour or two testing everything you know you'll want to do with it. if the dealer will not let you do that, then you might want to pass.
