    I just got the 6600 P 2 mos. ago, we're still getting aquainted but so far I just luvs her!

    I have Janome 6600 and the embroidery machine 10001. I haven't feel the need to purchase another brand name.

    I have both of those and love them! Great dependable machines. I've had the 6600 for 18 months and the 350E for 6 months. No problems from either and I've sewn hours and hours.

    I started off with a Janome 350e and I liked it a lot however I really wanted a larger hoop - so I sold a ton of stuff and bought the MB-4 which I liked at first then learned to absolutely despise it. I sold that and now have a Brother 4500d and love love love it.

    Don't get me wrong I loved my Janome 350e and as long as you are happy with the 5x7 hoop size it's a great, solid machine. I had no issues at all with it. I just wanted that bigger hoop size. I do love my Brother and have had absolutely no problems with it either.

    The new Janome coming out is the 7700 and there are some specsheets available from Canada and England sites. You can read up on it. I expect that the realease of the new machine gives more negotiating power on the 6600s.

    Janome 6600 here... still learning all it can do but love it. Started with a lower-end Janome and it is, and will always be, my baby. Had offers from friends to buy it (since I got a bigger one) but just can't part with it. That alone should tell you what I think about Janome.
