I like it.... I have two to start on too. I have them all ready to go, but have to finish this king size quilt 1st.

This is the Mardi Gras quilt I did. Amazing how the colors blocked when I picked them at random. I still need to attach binding.

I cut my strips in half at the fold and it gave me more bricks and moved the colors around

I haven't made that quilt yet but a friend just did three of them. She put all the blues first, then all the pinks, all the greens, etc. (whatever your colors are. Then when you bring the ends together, they aren't the same colors. Hope that makes sense.

It looks to me like you might have forgotten to cut your first strip in half. We had a demo on this technique one night when we played 'strip poker' at our guild. The demonstrator told us to cut the first strip in half and use the other half for some other project.
