Is there anything special you do with these pre-cuts before you start working with them? Do you wash them first, or just have at them?? Thanks.

I personally do not wash them. I don't want to have to iron them.

I just give the package a really good shake - outside!!! to get all the lint and threads out from the pinked edges.
Ask me why I know this.
    I don't like WEARING lint.

Like all the other responders, I just use as is.
I think you'd have a colossal mess washing them.

I'll go along with everyone else. Use them as they are, no washing needed.

Ok, then as a follow up to my original post: How do you treat them after you've completed your quilt/wallhanging, etc? Are there any surprises the first time you wash them, or any care instructions you should give the recipient on how to take care of your beautifully-crafted, painstakingly-made gift? :D

    Thanks.

I've never had any problems with them after. I use a shout color catcher or two in the wash, warm water, and so far, no problems with bleeding or weird shrinkage.
