Yesterday there was an article on the Internet about a family in Florida somewhere that is ALREADY camping out at a Best Buy store. Why? Not because they need anything, but for the experience of being first in the store! I can't imagine - waiting in a tent yet - doing that - for anything!! Me thnks they've lost their ever-loving minds!!!!

Happy shopping to all of you who go - as for me? I'm getting some more shut eye! :) :) :)

My sentiments exactly. I rather enjoy the cutting process. When I think of all the gadgets I have had over the years---the hot dog cooker, the hot air popper, the deep fat fryer, electric scissors, the electric manicure set, the curling iron, on and on and on..... and all the space they have taken up on my shelves; some still do....

It's bad enough dealing with Joann's frequently rude, inexperienced and erroneous sales associates on normal, nonblockbuster days. Think of how much worse it will be on Black Friday with more customers and more new hires! There isn't anything I want badly enough to put myself through that.

Our Jo-Ann's has nice , helpful people. Most of them know about quilting, or are quilters themselves, and can answer questions. Our store is kept neat too, unlike some I have been in.

I can't wait! the girls at my joanns are always super nice and super helpful -- even on a busy day.

There are enough 'regulars' there that the crazy ones often huff and puff and leave, for the rest of us to laugh at.

so what if there's only 3 girls working? the bf and i are going to sears at 4 and then he's dropping me off at joanns and doing the rest of his shopping alone.

    it'll be perfect for us!
