"Finished is better than Perfect"

This is a philosophy I can embrace.

Is there any other quilting forum on the web?

When I "surf" it's always here first and then on to a couple of political sites I enjoy. (I do have priorities!)

My friends and family always chuckle when I tell them "that" joke came from the Quilting Board.

Agreement with the sentiments and kudos to everyone for their consideration, confirmation, and confidence that we're all on a journey to make our respective worlds more beautiful. Our quilts/ wallhangings / pot holders/ etc., are all testimony, stories, and talismans for those who follow us.

Isn't it great to snuggle with a scrappy quilt that great-grandma made? Her hands touched the same fabric that is wrapped around me.

Our hands are wonderful things. Put a needle and thread in them and were "Back to the Future".

beautifully said. Inspiring, even! Any time we think of a piece of our lives as a Journey, we suddenly pay more attention. We stop just being out there, Doing. Instead, we become aware that we are on a path, moving through a garden of our own making. Thanks for the inspirational moment. :-)

I agree. It seems like I learn something new every day from the posters here. It's a very relaxing time just scrolling thru the board to see what others are doing.Doesn't matter where you're from, all quilters welcome.

I think what works for one person may not work for another. I do prewash reds, browns and some greens. When I finish a quilt I always wash it, so add a dye magnet to the washer and use synthrapol in the water. Rarely have trouble with fabrics bleeding when doing this. I really like your idea of picking the hints that fit your sewing.

Variety is the spice of life. If we all did it one way.... it would be a boring world and we wouldn't be open to trying new things. Good observance on things. Never let it be said that ,"I did it my way!!!!!!"hehehehe
