Juki TL-98E
I have a brand new, never used Juki TL-98E and new Handi Handles12000. I want to set-up old, but like new Handi-Quilter that is about the same age. They have been stored since purchased 13 years ago. Am wondering how to attach the handles to the machine. Certainly not attaching to the back of the machine, so you have to look over the machine to see where the needle is? I would appreciate any directions or comments. Is this system obsolete and not practical at all? Would you suggest a different option? I want to quilt for my own pleasure...certainly not a business. I welcome any thoughts.

I received that machine with my LA setup almost ten years ago. The handles were part of the traveling crib that housed the machine and not attached to the sewing machine at all. I have since upgraded to a machine with a larger throat. That is an issue with using it as a "long arm". I will tell you though, it's one heck of a machine and I wouldn't be without it. I use it almost exclusively for all my heavy sewing and do ALL my free motion work on it. Easy to service as well.
