Default June Tailor Ruler

I just used my new June Tailor Shape Plus Cut Ruler for the first time and it is wonderful! I cut strips and bindings for two quilts in record time and they are all straight!!
I can't remember who posted a hint to cover the slots you won't be using with a bit of painters tape but THANK YOU!!! I put just a dab on the bottom/beginning of the unneeded slots and it really made the process a breeze. If you are like me and hate to cut strips, I highly recommend this ruler!

Be warned that MY June Tailor ruler does NOT measure the same as my Olaf

I just got the Shape Cut Slotted Ruler from JoAnn's at 50% off. I was thrilled. It isn't the Shape Cut Plus but I'm happy. $15.00.

Thanks for the warning! I will be sure to watch for that! I actually checked and double checked by lining the slits up with my Olfa mat markings "just in case" before I made the cut, keeping each end's markings consistent with the mat's. I was trained by two perfectionists, one in high school and the other one in college who both said you should finish your garment on the inside as neat as the outside and never be embarrassed to wear it in-side-out! It's hard for me to shake those expectations even after thirty-five years....where most people measure twice and cut once, I measure 3-4 times!!!
Thanks again for the tip. This Board has some of the most knowledgable individuals who are great at helping others...THANK YOU!

I mark below each tear drop a line with dry eraser marker. It can be easily erased when done with a tissue.

I love mine. I can't quilt without it. I am very aware that all my tools don't measure the same, so I just make sure to check. I would certainly rather be safe than sorry. I am one of those who also measures 3 times

I use my Shape Cut to square up blocks more then cutting strips. It's perfect for that.
