maybe that's why I don't sleep well, lol...no kitties in our bed. hubby insists all pets are outside, but remember we are in florida. They have nice warm beds that I made, and they are long haired. probably sleep together. they eat together. have a queen size bed and hubby takes his half out of the middle!

My rottie gets most of the bed..and pillows   Fur is kinda like an extra blanket, right?? I will say when she gets up there and pants in the summer...well, remember the motel beds you put a quarter in :?: :?:   That's what its like :D My ex and I used to sleep in a full size with 2 rotties!! That was interesting  I did have a cheapie quilt from old time pottery store (cost maybe $15). It must have had nylon batting or polyester something, because it had static electricity in it and would spark when the dog moved!! Then it became a game like chase the laser!! When a 100# dog bounces the bed..look out floor, here I come!!
If you were up half the night sewing, no wonder you threaded the machine wrong!! No auto-pilot

Hubby banned the dog after ending up on the floor too many nights. The new cat (a rescue from -35 weather) sneaks up and very quietly settles at the bottom...probably just glad to be warm
Doesn't feel good to finally get a quilt done! Congrats. Can't wait to see the pics

I have an undercover rat terrier and an on top husky mix and various cats who take their places on the corners of the kingsize water bed! they sleep there during the day when the heat is down because it is always warm. Wouldn't feel right without the critter comfortors!

Tink lets me sleep in her queen size bed. I even have to cover her back up when I get up in the morning. She is a hard dog on a quilt, too. She decided to chew on my lighter weight quilt that I use in the summer. It is now going to be cut up and made into pillow cases and a small dog bed for her Tinkness for next to daddy's computer downstairs.

I made my very first ever quilt for my elderly dog. The teacher in class thought I was mad. My theory was that knowing it was going to the dog I didn't feel any pressure to be "perfect" and could put all my energy into learning and practising without pressure.
And it came out really well! She was an awesome old dog with massive personality.
She died last year of old age, and we had her cremated in her quilt, which was kinda cool.
