You are so fortunate to get your copy. I was so sure mine would come today. No such luck! Oh well, maybe tomorrow. Enjoy your copy of Block!

I am just guessing, and not dissing the company, but you will no doubt find the whole magazine one big ad for the publisher.
Remember Reiman Publications magazines? They always claim no ads also but they are actually chock full of them for their other products and shows. They feature people who have things to sell.. Magazines are expensive to publish and they need to pay for themselves.

Block doesn't have ads. It has 10 different quilt patterns with printed tutorials of the 10 and 2 how to selections. The only thing that be remotely be advertising is the name of the fabric used to make the 10 quilts is listed and a picture of MSQC people with a message from Jenny is the first page.
I remember the Taste of Home magazine and it was full of ads, but really Block is more like a book than a magazine.

I remember when Martha Stewart started that way. Her first magazines are collectors items.

I remember when taste of home had no ads. They had some pull-outs for TOH and other Reiman publications but no ads in the magazine itself. This was probably in the 90s.
