sweetlummi-you can always use a JoAnn's or Hancock's coupon and get the June Tailor Shape Cut ruler, I wasn't implying that you could only get it at my previous posted link. It's the first ruler I go to.

The more detailed the better as far as I'm concerned when designing and making quilts. I quilt for me and revel in the process. I want each quilt to be a new challenge and a learning experience for me. It's how I grow as a quilter.

We're all different and that's exactly how it should be. Work however best suits your personality and style at whatever stage of quiltmaking you find yourself at the time.

Have you tried a Quilt in a Day Log Cabin that is strip pieced? It really goes fast and looks like it took days to make. After strip piecing, I won't cut out little blocks and sew them together, if there is an easier way to do it.
