That was my morning with PP block... got it 3/4 sewn and realized that no way were the portions going to fit together. I put it away until tomorrow (or the next day). I think I need to try it with a lighter weight paper and a different sewing machine.

Rats! Time for a cup of tea, a slice of something nice and a "cat therapy session". Then back to it and you will zoom through with perfect cuts.

UGH! This is my biggest fear. I always try to put all my blocks away before making any cuts because of this fear. Pizza boxes makes it easy to put "up" and get back out.

I had issues with a paper pieced block this morning too. I ended up stopping with all that, and now my back porch, bathroom, and kitchen have all been through "spring cleaning."
Maybe tomorrow....

I found that if I trimmed (1/4")the fabric only (folding the paper pattern underneath) from the last seam I sewed, I didn't take off in the wrong direction so often.
Good luck!

I am so sorry. Seems Murphy is alive and well in your sewing room. Take a break, giving him the opportunity to become bored and allowing him to move on. Glad you have enough fabric to replace your damaged blocks.
