Default Good sale on batting???

I've been looking at several shops checking out the end of year sales but haven't found any that have great deals on batting. Has anyone found a good site? I've bought some fabric but would love to stock up on batting too.

I usually just wait until Connecting Threads runs their 30% off batting sale. It only takes $50 to get free shipping and that is easily done when doing a stock up of batting. They seem to run it every few months. All Hobbs products.

Connecting Threads is a great deal if you need to order online and get enough for the free shipping. Sometimes Hancocks-Paducah will do the same, but limit how many will ship for free. It can be expensive to get batting from other places because it's oversized and they charge quite a bit for shipping. I like the Hobbs 80/20. I have also found it at Michaels...with a coupon I've gotten it for just over $10 for queen size.

I use 50% off coupon at Michaels wheneven they have one, (usually holiday weeks), buy 2 or 3 and stock up that way. I get at least 2 charity quilts (sometimes 3) out of each one making the cost about $4.00 each. I have 6 battings in my stock now.

I just ordered a 40yard, 90" wide roll of W&N from JoAnn's...had a 50% off coupon and I think shipping was $.10...cost me a little over $200 for enough batting for about 15 -about queen-sized quilts-, or about $13.50 each...not bad, I think!

Was that their regular price or was it a special sale? Sounds like a great deal to me, that comes out to $3.50 a yard. I will definitely check them out next time I need batting. I just ordered a 40 yd roll of Warm & Natural 90" wide from JoAnn's on black Friday weekend. Got it at 1/2 off the reg. price of $449.99. That came out to $5.62 per yard plus tax, but free shipping. I thought that was a good deal. I'm splitting the roll with a quilty friend who lives nearby.
