Default Is It Kind of the Same?

I would like to buy Bonnie Hunter's Essential Triangle ruler, but have been looking around a bit to see if there is already something out there that is cheaper. I found this flying geese ruler on Amazon and am wondering about it. I seem to recall Bonnie saying that her ruler is a combination of the east angle ruler and the companion ruler. That's what this looks like to me too. What do you all think? I guess I can't really go wrong with only $7 and change...

If you are planning to make one or several of Bonnie's patterns you would
probably be better off getting her ruler otherwise you might get confused
with her instructions using a different ruler.
I've never used her rulers but I bought the set of Flying Geese rulers from
Bloc Loc and I'm very happy with them. You sew the FG a little bigger then
    trim. Perfect every time.

The ruler you linked to doesn't look like it would be used for HSTs, whereas Bonnie's is, so I would guess they aren't comparable.

Looks to me like it would work. The green (vertical) lines in the photo are for cutting the corner triangles for the geese - and could therefore be used for cutting 1/2 square triangle pieces too. Note that I've only see the photo, not in person, but that's what I managed to interpret from reading the parts of the ruler that show.

Connecting Threads has Bonnie Hunter's new book for 40% off and her ruler for 30%. If you buy from her website you will pay full price plus shipping.

Thanks everyone! I decided to go ahead and order it, because if nothing else I can use it for flying geese, lol. I made Bonnie Hunter's last MQ without any speciality ruler, so I think I could make this ruler work. I'm trying to get ahead and order any rulers she has used in the past, now before everywhere sells out in November!

I've taken several of her workshops when she was teaching with the old rulers and the new. She does her bulk cutting with the studio die cut machine and shows how to use the rulers in her workshops. All her workshops I took, I learned the same thing but did different patterns. I use my Go to cut pieces for all her patterns but don't precut to take to her class as that is what she teaches.
