I was looking through about 10 years worth of quilting magazines trying to decide on my next project when the idea hit me that I should mark the projects I'm interested in and give away the magazines that contain nothing that I think I might want to make. So here I sit with magazine, sticky note, notebook and pencil. I mark the project with the sticky note, write in my notebook which name and date of the magazine, the name of the pattern, and what colors I want to use. I'm noticing a trend - I'm marking a lot and I mean a lot of scrappy quilts. And, since a few months back ,I organized my fabric stash, cutting scraps per the Bonnie Hunter method, I'm getting excited about starting my next project.

I have thought about doing this a few times. Problem is, my tastes have changed alot in the past few years. What I used to like, I would never make now. And what I never thought I would want to make is now on the list. LOL

I try to do this every couple of years and I have found that my taste does change so I remove the sticky note but leave the note in my notebook and have found sometimes I go back and remark a pattern to do
