Hi everyone, I am new here to this board .... have not introduced myself yet (Janice). A friend is helping me with this.
I would love to make this quilt but do not know the name of it.
It has been suggested to me it may be 2 quilt patterns combined. Does anyone recognize this?

Could it be a variation of a Texas Star?

Look like a starburst or kaleidescope, but does have some extra pieces. I have seen it somewhere in surfing. Will look somemore.

I just checked and I can certainly see why you would think that.
The few patterns I have checked so far are very similar. Thank you, I will keep looking. Thanks for the tip.

The LQS has a quilt really similar to that I believe its an Amazon Star? Not totally sure. They sell is as a paper pieced quilt and teach a class on it. I tried looking it up but couldn't find it quickly...

Oh, I spoke to soon it's a Judy Niemeyer pattern called Agave Garden http://www.quiltworx.com/?cmd=browse here's a link to her website.

Nope, just double checked it's similar though

I don't know what it is but I'm sure it has to be paper-pieced. Combination Mariner's Star and something else maybe?

It is very similar to the Amazon Star pattern. I was at the Maggie Valley Quilt Show last weekend and saw a photo of an Amazon Star. It was amazing!
    Blessings

Sorry that doesn't help much but if you look through the quilts there, I only looked at the first 300, I think you'll find it. They are all named.

I can't say definitely but to me it looks like it might be a Karen Stone design along the line of the Unusual Lone Star 2 (or sometimes referred to as ULS2). You might want to check out her site for that. She has several unique designs.

Welcome as well from Washington state.

    Thanks,

    Hi and welcome..from Utah..

I think you may find the pattern in the book of Agave Garden .. at Quiltworx.com.. it is so close to that one ,someone just change a small bit of it , but so so so close..its Judy Niemeyer Quilting..
