Kona White..is it opaque?
I need a white that you can't see through. Does anyone have any Kona white on hand that they can check to see if it opaque before I order some?
Thanks!

I agree; it's thick, but you can see through it in light. If you are doing an applique and need to not have a fabric show through a white piece, I would line the white or use a double layer of white or back it with a thin batting. Honestly, I don't know of any white fabric that is not see-through unless perhaps if it has a plastic component.

I used a white that was intended for printing photos from printer on (yardage--can't remember the brand) for a modern quilt that I did not want the little bit of color used in the piecing to show. That worked fine.

It's my absolute favorite background fabric. Once it's quilted, I don't have any issues using it for appliqué or piecing. As others have said, if I hold it up to a bright light, I can see through a single layer of fabric. Also, if my quilts get wet, I can see shadowing, but once dry they are completely opaque.
