I got to leave jail (home since I broke my ankle) yesterday and attend out annual Labor Day Retreat. About 55 women there. So much food and sewing machines running! Thanks to my friends who took me and helped me and pushed me around in the wheelchair. I was first in the food line. Guess that was my treat for helping organize this retreat which came off well as usual. I won a door prize of a bundle of blue fabrics. I was exhausted when I got home last evening. Long day. But I am fired up again with my quilting.

Well, I think they did right by you, you most likely would have done it for them if they could not walk. I envy those that go to retreats, there are none in West Virginia. My son in Army and lives in Fairbanks. His wife promised me Alaska fabric for Christmas. Be well, and your inabilty to walk won't stop the machine, needle, thread from working. I have to tell myself to get at it when I feel lousy. You must have some great quilting buddies.

Lots of outings wouldn't be worth the effort before and the exhaustion after---but quilting with 55 "girlfriends" is worth it all in my book! Glad that you were able to share the good times with your group!

Oh good idea--need to make a plan! Looks like 1/2 yd bundles in about 5 fabrics. I see log cabin to be truthful.
