We are headed to Lake of the Ozarks this weekend. Just wondering if anyone knew of any quilting shops in the area.

The first shop listed is across Hwy 42 from Lowe's (on Hwy 54). A very small shop - deals mostly in embroidery machines. A fabric shop was next door and they went out of business so I think that the machine shop just took over their material.

The shop in Camdenton is nice - just off the square on Hwy 5.

Don;t know about the other shop.

But, if you are on the north side of the Lake - by all means go to Versailles, MO and Stover, MO(home of Stover Quality Quilting) - but I think that it is only open till noon on Sat.

Actually, doubt if any of these stores are open much past noon on Sat. and not at all on Sunday or any holiday.

Just off of Hwy 54 and 42(?) is LOVE TO SEW BOUTIQUE. They took over CIRCLE OF FRIENDS. I've not been there for quite some time so I'm not sure of the fabrics she carries.

Fabric & Friends is just off the square at Hwy 5 and 54. Laura and Rita are wonderful folks. They carry good quality fabrics, nice selection of patterns and notions.

Those are the only quilt shops I know about at the Lake.

But, Stover is just a short drive from the lake. If you can I STRONGLY suggest going to Nustyle Quilting. Their fabric selection is jaw dropping! In fact, the whole store is jaw dropping! It is well worth the trip and the prices are good too.
