Default Lancaster PA quilt shops and sites to visit

Hello everyone,

My husband and I will be in the Lancaster PA area (we're staying in York) and I'll have all day on Monday, May 6th to explore whatever quilt shops and local sites I want to my hearts content. Anyone have some suggestions for someone who has never been in the area before?

Thanks,
Tammy

Visit Intercourse - it has at least two fabric stores, Zooks and the Old Country Store. The Old Country Store also houses a museum of old quilts, and they usually have a special exhibit there.

It's been a while since I've been, so I'm not sure what shops are still open. Burkholders was a good one that we visited, as was Sauders. I'm sure Lancaster County has a tourism bureau with lots of information.

Enjoy!

Janet

There are a number of quilt shops in the Intercourse area. They are Zook's, The Old Country Store, The Quilt Shack, The Log Cabin Quilt Shop and another that I can't remember the name of. Three are within walking distance of each other and the other two within a 5 minute drive. There is also Dutchland Quilts on route 30 (another 15 minutes away).
Then there's Burkholders and Sauders. They are a little further away but still doable.
You can spend a full day just at the shops in Intercourse. They are good sized stores with large inventories at very reasonable prices.
I don't have my calendar with me but if I'm available on that date I could meet you there and show you around. PM me and maybe we could work something out.
