505 Spray basting question
#1
I have been reading some about this here. I really don't like basting. Where do you use this in your house? I have a large family room but I really don't have any where outside to use this. I am thinking of getting some, how is the smell and if I open the patio door will that help?

Smell is very slight and only while spraying. Goes almost immediately.

I used "Dritz" spray adhesive. I put newspapers around my design wall in case I over sprayed. I found that I didn't need the newspaper. I have respiratory problems, but didn't with the spray. I did use it lightly and didn't have any problems. Good luck. I am sold on the spray adhesive--no more pins for me!!!

Opening a door will help but the smell doesn't last that long. I put a large bed sheet on the floor to catch the over spray from the 505 spray baste. I have had no problems with using the spray except the floor gets sticky..thats why I use the bed sheet under it.

Wow thanks. Thanks Mamagus for the link to the thread I would have never thought to use the wall. I have a wall in my sewing room that will work for most quilts and I can crack the window and turn on the ceiling fan. I have arthritis in both my knees so getting on the floor and crawling around is not pleasant. Also (I don't like using the word hate) but I hate pinning and usually don't use enough and get impatient with that part of the process. So if this works I will be very grateful to you all..indebted is more like it. I will let you know how it works.
