I have worn out so many mats that I would worry the big mat would have it's sweet spot worn out and replacing it would be costly. If you bought two smaller mats and placed them together, you'd only have to worry about the joint.

I’m a big martelli fan. I have the largest for my cutting table, the next size for my largest sewing cabinet, the next size for my smaller sewing cabinet. And yes I purchased them all on their big 1/2 price sale. I have a few others that never held up one way or another

I didn't find anything by 'speedwell' either but here is one from speedpress. Scroll down to the bottom for sizes and prices.

Just received my first Martelli a few days ago, and I have never had my cutting so smooth. I almost thought the cutters weren't working. I bought this on recommendations from here. So glad I did.

Another Martelli fan here. I love my mat. They are expensive, but if you can wait for the 1/2 price sale they are more affordable.

Oops sorry! Speedpress. That's where I got my custom size mat.

I like my martelli mat but the OP is looking for a 4 x 8 mat and the biggest martelli makes is 30" x 60".

I have a large Olfa mat and use a smaller Jakar (from art supply house) mat on top instead using a rotating mat. The Jakar is easy to take to workshops. I would guess the Jakar is about 25 years old and still going strong.
