I made one myself, used two dowels for handles. I even use it as a carry on when I fly. No pattern though, I just made it. Easy to do.

Someone in one of my quilting/sewing groups made one with two really big wooden spoons for handles. She used a panel + a solid.

A nice large tote bag with wooden dowels for handles to carry quilting supplies to groups including your project, mat, etc... can be purchased for $9 at www.makeagooday.com
