Largest block size in a D9P quilt

This is a useful question. I have fabrics for a baby quilt, including one with pictures of diggers, trains, planes etc that are 4in square. I've been wondering how to use them, and a D9P might be a simple answer, cutting 4.5in squares. Thanks for the idea!

Actually I think I am going to do this D9P, the Pinwheel Toss. I like pinwheels and I like how the D9P looks, figure it is a good combination. Decided to do the starting block 6 inches, the pinwheels will start at 9 inches to finish off at 6. Here is the address that has the directions to this quilt. Thanks again.
