Las Vegas quilt shops
I will be in Las Vegas NOve. 18-22 for business and was wondering if anyone can suggest a Quilt shop not to far from the Belligio? I won't have a car so I'd prefer not to go to far.

We took a taxi to the Christmas Goose which is a fabulous shop. My recommendation: Get a mapquest direction from the Bellagio to whichever shop you want to go and TELL the cab driver how to get there the fastest way OR they will take you THE LONG WAY. We learned that the hard way first visit.

I really liked Quiltique in Henderson (very close to LV). But it is not close to the strip. Vegas is so spread out, you might end up with a long cab ride anyway. Google Maps says it's 14.5 Miles from the Bellagio.

None of the stores in LV are close to the strip nor are they close to each other. Horrible traffic there too. Lots to see at the Bellagio, Conservatory is incredible, largest chocolate fountain, Chihuly glass ceiling in reception area and of course their amazing dinner buffet. Lunch buffet is kinda ordinary.

Fabric Boutique is the closest shop to the strip...also my favorite.

You can take the CAT Bus (Citizens Area Transit), probably cheaper than a cab.
Ask the Concierge for the bus schedule.
But you will get there faster in a cab.
Have fun & Good Luck

We were just out there, but I didn't get to go on the quilt tour, but it looked like one I'd like to try. We did stop in Boulder City on the way out and they have a good shop that is on the tour. If you are in that direction, it's worth a stop. In fact, the little downtown area is full of antique shops, flea markets, yarn shop, etc. I wish I had found it on the way in instead of on the way out.

If you can take public transportation, it will leave you more to spend in the quilt shop. Last time I was someplace on business and took a cab to a quiltshop (and it was pretty close) it cost me $45 which I would have rather spent on fabric!
