VSMS: old Singer 301 with rust - fixable?

Billy, here are a few pics of the machine with rust, and the aluminum spauled out on the section on the back, under the ridge area.... more pics tomorrow too, if you want them.
For now, here is what I've got.... hum... don't have many if any at all. Will need daylight to help take clear pictures... so check back tomorrow morning, and I'll post some more. Including the bobbin case...
For now, see the bottom back corner... it's brite white in the pictures. That's where the black paint has flaked off, and the metal is all white and powdery.
