Thats a great idea a what a good husband.
My light box is a clear plastic keeper about 15inches x 12 inches
with a LED light underneath the sort you would use in a wardrobe, this is only until my DH has time to make me one.

I found that if I lay my paper piece on the light box and then position my fabric I have a better idea of where to stitch. For some reason my feeble little brain has had a major problem understanding where to place the fabric, sew and then unfold the seam and have the piece covered properly. If you can give me any hints on how to save my sanity I will be eternally grateful.

I use a plexi sewing machine table with a light underneath it.

So far, I have never used a light box to copy my foundation. I make copies to my printer. Sometimes, I will make two copies of a pattern, cut around their edges and tape them onto one page so i can further copy two patterns at a time instead of just one.

Your lightbox sounds great. Happy PP!
Thank you for the link. It does help. I've read everything I can get my hands on and I'm determined to learn PP correctly. There are so many beautiful patterns for PP.

The lightbox should be helpful doing applique tracing too. Yes, for all the grumbling about the "stash" my DH always steps in to help out.
