I had to chuckle at your post...because I do the very same thing. When I went to Shipshewana this summer, I took a set amt in cash. Of course, I had plastic with me, in case of 'emergency'. I spent all that I had budgeted for my day but I did not use the plastic. I was pretty proud of myself! Hope you had a great time!

I got some great photos, but tried to post one and couldn't. Anyway------------
So much for the $50 limit.
Left home at 7 am (we're CDT, Cannelburg is EDT). $5 at McDuck.
First thing in the door found a little crocheted baby doll crib/carrier ------CHRISTMAS for step great granddaughter---$9
another 10 feet to the right-------found hand warmers for microwave, rice filled bags. $10 for one, but I've got two hands--------$20
at end of same table--------homemade shaving soap and brush for hubby $12
3 used quilt magazines $3
All Saints Church had raffle------6 tickets for $5
Very cute car top for my grandson (or for his grannie, tee hee) $20
Plate lunch $8 absolutely delicious grilled smoked turkey (lots of turkey farms in the area), potatoes and gravy, homemade noodles, chess pie, lemonade
Homemade bread $2.50
HOmemade rolls $3.50
Homemade blackberry jam $2.50
PLEASE DON'T ADD THIS UP FOR ME-----I know I spent way too much--------but a lot of it was for christmas gifts. grannie muttering to self-------it was for Christmas-----------it was for Christmas
