I have seen one of these done by a local quilter and it is really stunning. More fun than I want to have, but if you love applique, GO for it!! It is so beautiful. The only reason she didn't get a blue ribbon on it was she used this pattern (not her own original) . It will be worth your time and effort for a wonderful heirloom for your family years from now. Blessings ~~~

I have had the book for some time, I love the quilt but it looks so involved and probably would end up being an UFO. I am getting wiser

I will make this quilt only in my dreams... don't get me wrong it is absolutely fabulous and I'm learning hand-applique because I love handwork... but I'll have to settle on a MUCH smaller piece.
