I love your colors. I have actually made 2 of these. I also reached the point where 'close' was good enough on the points. I never thought about putting it on the floor and then checking to see if the points bothered me. I laughing follow the rule of the galloping horse. Hang the quilt on the wall. Ride by on a galloping horse. If you can't see the problem there is no need to fix it. Hee! Hee!.

Great work!! What works for me when I am doing this pattern is to put a pin right through the point the two seams cross, and then stitch exactly over that point. It works every time!

Okay...I am now to the point of sewing everything together. I may wait a few days!

Default Almost the end....

Okay, almost there..spray basted and sandwiched!

Not perfect, but I'm no longer going to stress about it! I put it aside for months while I tried to figure out how I was going to get this together properly. This is as good as it will get before quilting.

I have a strip pieced lone star quilt in progress. Or maybe not. I have a problem because I cut the all 45 degree the same way, and I guess I should have cut half of them on the reverse 45 degrees. I don't know.

I used the Angel Fire directions...60 degree cut of the strata.

The current size is approximately 69" square...

I don't think so. I just finished a lone star - cut everything the same way, sewed 8 identical points, and ta da! Keep going - I bet it will work out.

It looks lovely!

I've made 2 lone stars (actually, 3, if you count a miniature I did to try to get my nerve up for the first big one).
