I use velco to attach the leader to the pole if you need to move the leader you can I use zippers to attach my backing to my leader cloth you sew one half of the zipper to the leader on pole the sew the other half to the backing leader with a basting stitch do this on the other pole attach the backing to the front pole and roll it on till you get to the end and zip it to the take up pole when you are done just unzip You san buy 10' zippers they run about $20.00 for 2 sets

I had to buy my own poles and attach the leaders. I used duct tape. I drew a straight line on the pole with a permanent marker and then lined up the leader with the line and taped it on with duct tape.
I did this several years ago (5 or more years ago) and the duct tape is still holding, plus I know the marker line is still there if the tape ever releases.

I have mine attached using the clear tubes (grace pro frame)that you push down into a grove in the rods. I made leaders with a casing that is 1/2" put the tubes in the casing and then push all this in the groves on the poles. There are also things called "red snappers" many quilters love these.
