I just bought a '50's 301A and I don't see anywhere in the manual how to drop the feed dogs. Can someone tell me how to do this?
This is one beautiful machine. It looks like it was never used and I think it will probably be my favorite. The case isn't too bad but it isn't like new.

Lift up the little extension table. Looking at it head on, the knob will be on the left. Turn the knob to the left to lower the feed dogs.

Thanks a million. I saw that knob when I was oiling but didn't know what it was for and the manual I printed off the internet didn't mention it. I probably would've figured it out eventually but thanks to you I now know.
