Look what I did this week end

I finally got to visit a LQS in Lexington NC this Saturday. It is called Quilting Quest. They also have a web site. I would recommend this shop to everyone. Lynn the owner is such a nice lady and very helpful. I will most certainly be going back again. They are having UFO night next Friday evening. The fabric is very reasonably priced. Lynn is also having a sale next weekend so be sure to visit if you can get down that way. I also went to JoAnn fabric this afternoon to purchase something so I too can be a stripper.
These are the fabrics from Quilting Quest. The cutting grid is from Joann trip

This is what I am making from the fabric I got at Quilting Quest. It is going to be a fence rail

This is from my stripping. The yellow flower fabric in background is for another quilt that I need to finish. It is from Joann trip. The strips are longer than shown here. they are still folded up.

A stripper is one who cuts strips of fabric to be used in quilt designs. Example: for the fence rail you need lots of strips sewn together first and then cut into squares. It also makes for a good joke to tell someone that you are a striper, just watch their eyes. Lynn used this one on me Saturday in her shop.
