Love it! She kind of looks like she wants to dance - the way her arms are up. My first thought was Matilda as in Walzing Matilda. LOL. Happy Birthday. What a great gift.

I love people who are original and who think outside the box - especially with humor! Your son is a keeper and his thread holder is sooooo original. I'll bet he chuckled the whole time he was making it! I just love the thing and I'm jealous!! Don't know what to name her, but I did think that one suggestion 'Eunice' was pretty cute!

Reminds me of Nurse Ida. The nurse assigned to me during child birth. A catholic nun, knew her job, did it well, gruff, direct' bossy and rather militant looking. 4 days - never saw anything near a smile! Kinda rough and tough around the edges, like your gal.

Great work of art. I'm envious!!
