Default Looking for the blackboard fabric placemats

A while back a poster posted pictures of the placemats she made for her grandchildren. It was out of, I think she said blackboard fabric, and she was giving them chalk so they could be entertained when they went out to eat. I can't find any reference to it using this new board's search feature. I would really like to track down this blackboard fabric as I have some very "active" grandchildren and would like to make these. If you just know a source for this fabric that would be great too. I googled blackboard fabric and it led me to everything but...
Thanks for any help

KrisB - thanks to you too for the tutorial. I checked the links for the fabric and now I just need to decide which one. I'm wondering why there is such a variation in price - anyone know?

I bought some from JoAnn's a couple of weeks ago, hoping to make a portable chalkboard for my GDs for Christmas, and I do know theirs is 27.5" wide and the rest listed above is 47" wide. Don't know if there is a difference in quality though.

I just bought some at JoAnn's and they had a free pattern for using it at a buffet where you would use chalk to identify each dish.

I've bought mine from Nancy's Notions exclusively in the past.
